SharePoint get’s DOD 5015.2 records managment certification

June 6, 2007 · No Comments

The Defense Department’s Joint Interoperability Test Command has certified that Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 complies with the DOD 5015.2 electronic recordkeeping standard. Development of the DoD 5015.2 certification add-on pack was made possible by the ease of connecting and extending the rich features and functionality of SharePoint 2007 to meet the complex requirements for DoD 5015.2 compliance. AIS was able to develop every aspect of the solution using the standard SharePoint extensibility points — like the SharePoint Object Model and SharePoint Workflows — along with native SharePoint 2007 capabilities.

Now watch this space for what’s happening here in Australia with the work that Unique World and Microsoft are doing, I can’t tell you much yet, but I promise to keep you posted.
